Robert Skaggs, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic surgeon who’s widely known as a leading skin cancer surgery expert. As a dermatologist at the Kentucky Skin Cancer Center in Bowling Green, Owensboro and Franklin, Kentucky, Dr. Skaggs offers an extensive range of integrative dermatology services, including surgical dermatology, facial reconstruction, skin cancer screening, cosmetic dermatology, and much more.
Dr. Skaggs earned his biochemistry degree at the University of Louisville and then completed his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Louisville where he earned the distinction of Chief Resident and then went on to complete a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology in Cincinnati, Ohio.
During his Mohs fellowship, Dr. Skaggs trained under internationally renowned Mohs surgeon Dr. Brett Coldiron, who’s also the former president of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Skaggs is currently a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Skaggs currently lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky and is proud to be serving patients in his home community. When not in the office, Dr. Skaggs enjoys spending time with his wife, Susan, two young sons and baby daughter.
